July 22nd-August 4th, the International Joint Graduate Course on Sustainable Energy was held in the School of Mechanical Engineering(the School) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) , attracting 19 international graduates, 6 SJTU graduates and 16 faculty from Waseda University in Japan, Korea University in South Korea, Hamburg University of Technology in Germany, and SJTU to participate.
The International Joint Graduate Course on Sustainable Energy is hosted alternately by SJTU, Waseda University, Korea University, Hamburg University of Technology, and the University of Maryland, aiming to promote exchanges and cooperation among Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, and American universities in the field of sustainable energy. It has been successfully held for five sessions so far.
The 6th session is held by SJTU this summer, focusing on “Sustainable Energy Production, Conversion, Utilization, and Recycling”, jointly guided by Chinese and international renowned professors. In addition to traditional teaching, interactive lessons and presentations were incorporated, offering a glimpse into the latest developments in sustainable energy.
At a time of cultural understanding and technological innovation, students engaged in dynamic exchanges during campus tours of Sino-Italian Green Energy Laboratory, Robotics Laboratory and SJTU University History Museum, and enterprise visits of tech firm born out of the School's research and development achievements. These excursions offered an opportunity for deep friendships and experiences across cultures through mutual understanding and interaction. The enriching experiences have left them better equipped to navigate a multicultural world.
