Professor Weizhong Guo was elected a Full Member by Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society

Recently, Professor Weizhong Guo at Institute of Design and Control Engineering for Heavy Equipment, School of Mechanical Engineering received an official letter with a Full Member Certificate signed by President Marija Strojnik of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. The certificate warrants that Weizhong Guo was duly elected a Full Member by the Committee on Qualifications and Memberships of the Society in the year 2023.

 

 

Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society was founded in 1886 at Cornell University in the United States. As the world's largest interdisciplinary scientific honor society, Sigma Xi recognizes researchers for the values they hold in high esteem, including more than 200 Nobel Laureates. Sigma Xi has been a milestone in hundreds of thousands of distinguished research science and engineering careers. The induction into Sigma Xi is by invitation (nomination) and election. Members of the society include scientists, engineers, doctors, and more from over 200 countries and various disciplines around the world. Sigma Xi has played an important role in helping the public better understand and respond to the challenges and opportunities brought by modern science and technology, promoting scientific research and development, advancing science education, and popularizing science. Sigma Xi publishes the American Scientist magazine.
